Thanet Windfarms
Thanet windfarm was officially opened on 23 September 2010 as the largest offshore wind farm in the world. It is visible from most of the coast of Thanet.

Thanet is one of 15 Round 2 wind projects announced by the Crown Estate in January 2004.
The wind farm will be approx 12km off Foreness Point, completion was in 2010. Construction was based from Port Ramsgate.
